Crystal Effects - Card #1

As I mentioned yesterday, I made three cards last night -- one for Halloween, one for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas -- using punches just for the fun of it. Then just as I was about to call it a night, I got out the Crystal Effects (pg 206). Anyone who knows me knows this is one of my very favorite things. And applying it just before you go to bed is a great idea ... it takes a little time to dry thoroughly, especially when you apply a heavy coat.

Here's my Halloween Card:

I actually saw something similar out there in cyber world, and had to try one.  Here's a close-up view of the candy corn with a heavy dose of Crystal Effects.

I took about a 3" x 4" piece of whisper white cardstock and put a 3/4" strip of Daffodil Delight across the bottom.  Above that, I placed a 1/2" piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock.  Then I took Petite Pennents Builder Punch (pg 213) and punched out three pieces of candy corn.  The verbiage is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set (pg 27).  The striped DSP is from the Brights Collection Paper Stacks (pg 186).

When you use this much Crystal Effects, you really need to let it dry overnight.  Then you are more motivated to get out of bed the next day to see your finished piece!   I love this one!

Come back tomorrow for my Thanksgiving card using Crystal Effects!

Oh, by the way, you can purchase a bottle of Crystal Effects (and any other items used here) by simply clicking the catalog photo on the right anytime 24/7.  I'd love to have you as a new or returning customer!
