Retreat is Here!!!!

Wahooooooo !!!!!  Today starts my second retreat near Asheville, NC.   I just love retreat ... and while it's a little different now that I have to prepare and bring everything here, I still love the excitement of seeing 40+ women piling in with their carts of paper crafting supplies to do a marathon stamping weekend!

This year we will be having some new things.  One will be a silent auction where the girls can bid on various packages and be able to get great Stampin' Up! items at a fraction of their costs!

We will again be doing a daily Make and Take Project of the day.   On Thursday the girls will be making this  cute little Z card using a 3"x9" piece of cardstock and scoring it at 1 1/2", 3", 6" and 7 1/2".    This is the card they will be making.

Here's what a similar card looks like when opened.  I already have everything packed and forgot to take a photo of the inside of this card, but here's another to give you an idea of how the card opens.

The cute little belly band holds the card together.  These fit nicely into our 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" mini square envelopes (pg 160).  The stamp set used here is Embellished Events (pg 40), perfect for so many occasions!  This card is also a great use of those scrap pieces of Designer Series Paper!
