Fall 2012 Retreat Recap

Wow, what a fantastic weekend.  About 40 gals gathered into one room for non-stop, marathon stamping, sharing hundreds of ideas ... just one great weekend.  Here's are some photos so you can see what you missed ...

The calm before the storm ...

 They're moving in!

They're taking classes ...

There are hundred of ideas!

There are contest with actual judges recruited from other conference attendees ...

There are contest winners ... Congratulations Marcia and Frances ... winners of our Original Card Contest.  Francess entered two cards and took both 2nd and 3rd places!  Wahooooo

Then I challenged them with a Sketch Contest with a twist.  This year they were instructed to use one-half sheet of cardstock as a card base.  Then they could only use two additional pieces of either cardstock or designer paper no bigger than 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" each.  There was some hesitation at first, but then the entries started coming in.  ... and the winners are ...

Diane, 1st Place, Phyllis, 2nd Place and Bonnie, 3rd Place.
Congratulations to all winners ... and thanks for entering!

Oh, and did I mentions there was a basket full of goodies for the winners to pick some fun prizes!

Now let's get down to another great feature of Stamp Weekend ... The food from the cafeteria ... It's awesome ... every day.  Real home cooked food.   And the real beauty is ... we can stamp all day, stop only three times to go eat, and then go back to stamping.   No cooking, no bed making, no house cleaning ... just fun, fun, fun and pampering!

Okay, for those of you still with me, every year there is a "hit" idea.  I think these fun little guys were one of the hits of retreat:

These were made using one of our newest Bigz Dies - Petite Purse (pg. 194), soft suede cardstock and colorful scraps cut out with our Modern Label punch (pg 183).  You still have time to order these supplies online to make your Thanksgiving Day favors!

After you get the petite purse bigz die, then you can also make this fun little Rudolph for your Christmas dinner.

The ears were cut out using Blossom Petals Punch (pg 185) and the Autum Accents Bigz Die (pg 33 of Holiday Mini Catalog).   Just way too much fun!!!

Just got a peek at the new Occasions Mini Catalog coming out January 3, 2013.   It is definitely a "I want it all!" catalog.  Wahoooooooo ... My customers will be receiving a copy in December.  If you would like to receive a new mini catalog when I get them, please email me directly at bzstampin@live.com and I'll get copy to you.  It will also be available to view online here on my blog after January 3rd.

Hope you enjoyed my little quick recap of Retreat.  Hope you can join us March 14-17, 2013!  Email me for all the information!

Stop back next time to see some of the cards made at retreat ...
