2012 Fall Retreat Classes

Stamping Retreat will be here before we know it!   If you have not signed up for our retreat, please do so by emailing me for full information -- BZSTAMPIN@LIVE.COM.   If you are signed up, here's the class information you've been waiting for.  If you are not attending retreat, I hope you enjoy these great ideas ...

Our retreat instructors have been very busy preparing some fun ideas for this retreat's classes.  I'm listing the classes in no particular order other than in the order the information was given to me.  Please read through to the end, and then email me to select your classes (giving me your desired class numbers).  Times of the classes will be assigned when we have more information (number of attendees per class, etc.).  In some cases we may have two or more of the same class.   Please get back me ASAP with your class choices.  You will pay for classes at retreat.  Classes will be on Friday and Saturday.

Class #1:  Scentsational Season Gifts
Instructor:  Alvie Diehlman - Fee $10

For this class you will make four (4) projects using the stamps from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and matching Holiday Collection Framelits Dies – so much easier than fussy cutting!
· “Cocoa” Kit is a fold open holder with two pockets, decorated inside
and out.  Inside you will find everything you need for warm relaxing drink – cocoa, marshmallows and a candy cane to stir it all up (contents included).

“Tree”t Pockets can hold various items like gift cards, cash, candy, or anything you can think of to slide into the two pocket holder.
· “Candy Cane” Box is the perfect size for a necklace or bracelet or candy treats like Hershey Nuggets or a Ghiradelli Chocolate.
· Ginger“bread” Holder doesn’t hold a loaf of bread or gingerbread men, but is for giving “bread”in the form of a gift card or cash stashed in front and accompanied by a sweet treat (hmm-maybe a gingerbread
man would fit) or other gift of your choice placed in the back.  Most pieces will be pre-cut and pre-scored.  Instructions for all projects will be included.
Supplies Used:  Stamp Sets:  Scentsational Season Stamp Set (pg. 16 Holiday Catalog), Tea Shoppe Stamp Set used for sentiment on the Cocoa Kit (pg. 57 ’12-’13 catalog)  NOTE:  The Scentsational Season
Stamp Set and Holiday Collection Framelit Dies can be purchased as a bundle (pg. 16 Holiday Catalog) both in wood and in clear mount.

Supplies you need to bring to class:  Sticky Strip, Tombow Glue or glue of your choice (2-way Glue Pen is not sticky enough), Double sided tape or other adhesive of choice, Scissors/Snips and Bone Folder.

Class #2:  Form and Free-Form Fun
Instructor:  Neily Trump - Fee $7

We'll make two projects.  The Form part of the class will be a cute mini
shopping bag using The Designer Rosette bigZ die and some holiday
themed Designer Series Paper. These tiny bags make great stocking stuffers, ornaments, gift tags, or small treat holders.

The Free Form part will be creating a collage style card using odd bits,
scraps, and embellishments. Creativity and experimentation is encouraged, but samples will be provided for folks who need or want some ideas. Various punches, dies, and embossing folders will be available.

Participants should bring to class: SNAIL, scissors, bone folder, and any
favorite embellishments.

Class #3: Simply Scrappin’ Christmas Album
Instructor:  Bonnie Henderson - Fee $8

Come learn how to make one of these quick, easy Christmas albums using the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin kit (pg. 9 Holiday Mini Catalog).  Save this year's Christmas memories for you or loved ones.  One Simply Scrappin kit will make four albums!

This album can easily be adapted to make a birthday album, a baby album, an anniversary album, a sports album, etc. by using other kits or your own cardstock, designer papers, punches, etc.  Other samples will be shown at class.  Very versitle and you won't believe how easy it is to make!  $8 fee includes everything needed to make one album including written directions with photos. You may want to add a Simply Scrappin kit to your order so you can make 4 more albums!

Bring scissors,  adhesive and a camera.  You’ll want to take photos of all the additional ideas!

Class #4:  Purse with 4 Christmas Cards and Envelopes
Instructor:  Sheri Bradley  -
Fee $12

Purse has deep pockets so your cards will not fall out.  It will also have a handle (not on photo).  You will receive 1/2 of a Merry Moments Simply Scrappin kit along with all the materials to finish this project.

Supplies Needed:  Adhesive, scissors and sticky strip.

Class #5:  A Punch Class to Die For
Instructor:  Frances Brown -
Fee $8

Use a few dies, add a few punches, and throw in a technique or two and you have some beautiful projects.  Learn some new uses with old-and new
punches and dies.  Make a what’s it “owl” about decoration, learn to die cut anything, see samples exclusive to these class attendees, and learn a few
new tricks with punches and dies.  Lots of fun for everyone.  Bring scissors, tape and a smile.

Class #6: Owl Holiday Planning Pack
Instructor:  Sherahl Weadon -
Fee $15 (Class size is limited to 20 people)

Owls are in abundance in the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and especially on the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper and we’ll be using this DSP to make a cute “owl” holiday planning pack to start getting you prepared for the holidays.

The first project will be a holiday planner with three pockets and three lists to help you get through the holidays including a holiday gift list, holiday card list and a to do list.  You will also receive a print out so you can make more if you need them.

The second project will hold all your holiday receipts in a tin covered with those cute little owls that match the Owl Occasions stamp set and is featured on the coordinating Christmas Card.

You will receive full instructions w/templates and dimensions for all projects.  The planner will be pre-scored for your easy assembly.  The two stamp sets used will be Owl Occasions and Snowflake Soiree.  Ink colors are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede.  If you have these and want to bring any to class to speed the process, you may, but it is not necessary.  (Please mark all personal items brought to class).

Supplies needed:  Paper snips, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip and a Stamp-a-ma-jig, if you have one.
