Retreat Update #1

First, before getting into some of the fun happening at retreat, I'd like to wish all who served to protect our freedom a very Happy Veterans Day.   Thank you! 

Today, the girls from my group came down (at their leisure) to this "seat treat" ...

Inside each of these cute litle kits were pearls, rhinestones, buttons, bakers twine, floss threaders (to use with twines) and candy.   The cute boxes were made using the Mini Milk Carton Bigz LX Dies (pg 221) and cutting two pieces.  By simply cutting off one side piece (the side piece that does not have the folding tab) on both pieces and then attaching the two pieces together, you come up with this adorable little box.

Then, my gals got introduced to a first-time retreat event, a daily Make N Take.  Here's what was precut and ready for them to make, anytime during the day.  This card uses my new favorite thing ... Designer Frames (pg 218) embossing folders and the Kindness Matters (pg 121) stamp set and Cherry Seam Binding, twine, jewerly tag punch and Cutter Kit (pg 208) to rough up the white cardstock edges.
