Christmas Stockings

If you've been following my blog, you know that I recently attended a weekend stamping retreat.  I mentioned "boards".  Boards are literally a board filled with ideas.  Here's a sample board...

I was asked to do a board using the new Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die (pg 24 of the Holiday Mini).  Here's what I came up with ...

There are just too many products used here to list them all.  But if you take a minute to look at your copy of the Holiday Mini catalog, you will recognize most of what was used.   If you don't have a copy of this awesome mini catalog, simply click here or click the photo on the right and you, too, can see all the goodies.

Gotta love the red and silver glimmer paper (pg 41 mini) and the Stocking Accents Die (pg 24 mini).

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did making them.

And, yes, those are real "stitches" on some of the stockings.  It's easy to "stitch" paper with our punch and our bakers twine.   Simply pre-punch the holes.  Thread a long piece of bakers twine into a Floss Threader ... yes, a floss threader.  To those of you who are lucky enough not to have any bridges in your mouth, you may not know what a floss threader is.  If you go to your dental department of your local pharmacy, pick up a pack of floss threaders.  These are used to thread floss under your bridgework so you can floss under them.

Thread a long piece of bakers twine through a floss threader and simply "sew" around the stockings using the floss threader as a needle.  Much easier and very quick!
