Chevron Fold ... a fun way to add the new Chevron look to your cards or scrapbook pages...
Start with a strip of 3/4" x 12" piece of designer paper. Great way to use up scraps. If you need a longer, finished piece, simply tape several strips together now. Fold one end over to make a left-sided point.
Using the horizontal edge above as a guide, fold over the long strip even with that edge.
Make one more fold using the new edge as a guide.
Now flip over and start folding going in the other direction (below)
Do this twice and you will start to see the chevron pattern forming.
Keep folding to the end of the strip, flipping the paper over after two folds going in one direction.
This is your finished piece. Once you finish your first practice piece and get the hang of it, I suggest you run some Snail (double sided adhesive tape) along the entire length on the inside. As you fold, use your bone folder to permanently secure your folds.
Here's a simple card using the Chevron embossing folder and my Chevron folded piece.
Hope you enjoy your technique for the day.
