Fall Retreat Class Offerings

Here is a list of classes being offered at our 2013 Fall Retreat being held at Ridgecrest, NC, just minutes away from beautiful Ashville, NC.   There is still time to register for this great 3-4 day weekend.   It's a ball!  If you have never attended an event like this, please email me at bzstampin@live.com and I will be happy to send complete information to you.  The energy and hundreds of ideas are so motivating!!!  You won't want to leave on Sunday!!!

Class #1
Class Name: ALL THAT GLITTERS AND BOWS TOO!
Instructor:  Sherahl Weadon
Price: $15.00
Class Description: I will be demon-

strating an assortment of holiday
gift giving projects along with some
great techniques to help you wrap up
your gifts in style using some of
 the wonderful new packaging and
embellishments offered in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. We will be completing 4 projects in class and  everyone will receive an instructional handout for the projects  and techniques.

Tools Needed:  Scissors, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip,
Monoadhesive, and Bone Folder.   Length of Class:  1 hour, 15 mins.
 
Product Used:   Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Silver 1/8" Ribbon,
Silver Foil Sheets, Silver Stampin' Glitter, Silver Metallic Encore Pad,
and Silver Glitter Paper, Winter Frost Specialty DSP and  Paper Stack,
and Textured 12x12 Cardstock - Island Indigo and Smoky Slate,
Muslin Bags and Kraft Boxes, along with the Gift Bow Bigz L Die.

Class #2
Class Nameame:  THANKFUL GIVING
Instructor:  Alvie Dielman
Price:  $10
Class Description:  You will be making FOUR projects
1)  One Sheet No Cut Gift Box
2) Deco Gift Card Holder
3) Top Apothecary Card
4)  Nuggets of Thanks
 
Tools Needed:  Scissors, Bone Folder, Double sided tape/snail/sticky strip (your choice), and glue (recommend Tombow).   Included with the lass are written instructions for the projects and templates for the Gift Box and Card.
 
Products Used:  From the 2013 Holiday Catalog you will be using Harvest of Thanks and Truly Grateful stamp sets.   Pretty Print Textured Embossing Folder, Sweater Weather DSP and Burlap Ribbon will also be used.  From the 2013-14 Annual Catalog, you will be using Apothecary Accents Framelits, Bitty Banner Framelits, Deco Label Framelits, Top Note Die and Basic Pearls.

Class Name:  FESTIVE FLURRY STATIONERY GIFT SET

 Instructor:  Peggy Taylor and
June Welch
Price:  $15


Class Description:  A unique way

to use the large  wood-mount stamp
cases for gift giving!   You'll make a
stationery set with six cards and
envelopes, envelope liners, a pen
and more.  Directions will be included.  
Additional gift ideas using the new wood- mount stamp cases will be displayed.
 
Tools Needed:  Your favorite adhesive and detail scissors.
 
Products Used:   Festive Flurry stamp set and Festive Flurry Framelits Dies.

Class Name: FANTASTIC FOLDED CARDS 
Instructor:  Frances Brown 
Price:  $8
 
Class Description:  Learn new ways to make folded cards and to incorporate folds and die cuts into your cards.  Take simple designs and make them almost 3-D.   We will also learn how to make every card into an easel card.   Display them on your desk or mantel.  They are still mailable.   You will get a template for the easel and for a pop-up card.  Three projects plus two templates.

Tools Needed:  Tombo, snail and scissors
 

Products Used:  Big shot, biz dies, score tool and may use new thinlet dies.

Class #5

Class Name: PUNCHED
OUT- YOU PUT TOGETHER!
Instructor:  Judie Fiegel
Price:  $7
 
Class Description:  Assemble three Thanksgiving cards that have been pre-punched.   NO FUSSY CUTTING!   These cards are ready to go. Assemble them in class and stay for a treat or take them to your station to be assembled later.

Tools Needed: Bring your fine cut scissors, glue dots, double sided tape, 2 Way Glue and / or Tombow glue.
 

Products Used: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Thankful and Tags 4 You stamp sets, Woodgrain Embossing Folder and many various punches.   List of all supplies used will be available at class.

Class #6 
Class Name:  FALL BANNER
Instructor:  Bonnie Henderson
Price:  $10

Class Description:  Banners are the rage and fun to make!  Due to shortage of class-room time available, this will be a 20-30 minute demonstration on how to make this banner.  The price includes all pre-cut items to make the banner.   There will be a table in the main area where you can spritz and sponge the pieces and a hot glue gun area to assemble the banner.  The banner will hang over this area so you can copy it.   You can totally work on your own throughout the weekend and have a finished banner, or take the finished pieces home to assemble it.  Complete written instructions included.  Other banner samples will be available for more ideas.

Tools Needed:   None

Products Used:  Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, Cardstock, Scoring tool or Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die, 3 1/2" Circle Bigz Die, Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Spritzers, Reinkers, Sponges, Chocolate Ink Pad, Ribbons (some retired) and Sweater Weather DSP.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of these instructors who have put in a lot of work to come up with some fun ideas to share with you.  Please email me your list of class numbers you'd like to take at retreat.   You will pay for these classes at retreat (with exact cash in an envelope, please).  Deadline for registering for classes is October 15, 2013, but the sooner you let these gals know, the more time they have to prepare.   Please register ASAP.
