2013 Spring Retreat Classes

Well it's only a few weeks to 2013 Spring Retreat in Asheville (March 14-17).  If you are sitting on the fence and still want to go, please contact me at bzstampin@live.com to see if we still have an opening.  If so, we'd love to have you!

Here are the class offerings for this retreat: ...




Class #1: :  Thinking of Spring - $8 - Instructor - Alvie

For this class you’ll be using items from the new Spring Catalog – Just Thinking & Oh Hello stamp sets, Pinwheel Sizzlits Die, Tea for Two DSP and Paper Doilies.  You’ll be making:
·         a twisted card ($$ or a gift card could also be tucked inside)
·         a gift bag
-       a mailbox full of goodies

·     

Included in the class are written Instructions
 for all three items and the template for the gift bag.  Most pieces will be pre-cut and scored.  
Items you need to bring to class:   Scissors, Bone Folder,  Sticky Strip, Double sided tape/snail/glue/adhesive of your choice.   Scoring tool (if you have one)

Class #2:  Manly Yes, But I Like It Too! - $8 - Instructor:  Frances

We are always searching for those manly cards for birthday, sympathy or thinking of you. In this class you will make 2 each of three of these manly cards.  The unique thing about these cards is that they are interchangeable.  You can use each the three for all three occasions-you choose.  Lots of fun and a few new techniques too.

Bring to class:  Adhesive & scissors

Class #3:  A Touch of Velvet - $6 - Instructor:  Neily

Need to notch-up the posh? Want to send a super special sentiment to a classy friend?  Join me as we make two cards that employ the technique of stamping on velvet.  Plus a magnetic bookmark, too.
Recommended tools to bring to class with you:  bone folder, adhesives (SNAIL & liquid glue), an iron (if possible)

Class #4:  Bag it, Box it or Can it!!! - $10 - Instructor:  Bonnie

Learn how to make any size box with a perfect fitting lid every time with your lid shim (which you will make).  Need party favors or hostess gifts, learn some simple gift ideas to WOW your friends.  Learn the Chalk Board and Coffee Filter techniques.   Most important, learn to use what you have to impressively present your gift items.   Typed instructions for these items will be given.  Bring your cameras for various other ideas.  Class limited to 20 maximum.
Supplies needed:  Ribbon Scissors, Red Sticky Tape, Snail and Scoring Tool, if you have one.

Class #5:  By the Seashore - $15 - Instructor:  Sherahl

An assortment of beach/summer cards, postcards, invites and bookmarks using the By The Seashore stamp set (page 93) and will be showcasing a series
of personalized word sayings I had made exclusively by Stampin' Up! 
to coordinate with the By the Seashore stamp set.  We will be using
Fan Fair and First Edition Specialty DSP.

Possible Class #6:  Easter Punch Art - $9 - Instructor:  Judie


 She's agreed to do a class and here's what you will make.   Bring your camera, too, to take photos of her many other punch art ideas.


Bring your adhesive, bone folder and scissors.
