Every year Stampin' Up! as a convention in July in Salt Lake City, Utah. We demonstrators are able to share ideas by creating swaps. A swap is a card front only using current products. I am trying to make 125 swaps for this year's convention. If I make my goal, I will bring back from convention 125 new ideas. Wahoooooo! Here are 2 of my swaps I made this weekend. (30 of each):
This swap used the following items from the Summer Mini Catalog:
Bold Blossoms stamp set (pg. 7) and the coordinating Bold Blossoms Triple Layer Punch (3 punches for less than the cost of two!), pg. 6. From the current 2010-2011 catalog, I used the Two Tags big shot die to make the magnatized book marker. The designer paper is part of the new paper coming out in the new catalog to be released July 1, 2011. The cardstock was crumb cake and cajan craze and naturals ivory. Cajun craze ink was used, too.
Black and White cards are usually a hit with my customers, so I though as part of my swap I'd make one using the new Summer Mini stamp set, Fabulous Florets (pg. 22). The "Hello" is from the free hostess Level 1 set from the Summer Mini as well. Not sure if you can see it here, but I also used the lattice embossing folder, 5/8" organza ribbon and a poppy parade marker, all from the current 2010-2011 catalog. Remember, June 30, 2011, is the last day to order from this catalog.
Hope you have a safe and Happy Memorial Day.

Charlotte 600 Nascar
Sitting here on this beautiful last Sunday in May while Rick is at the race. I'm still trying to figure out how to post things on my new blog. Here's a copy of the basket and pens I recently taught at two Spring Stamping Retreats:
If you would be interested in coming to a class to learn how to make these baskets and pens, please write to me at bzstampin@live.com. The baskets make great gift baskets for homemade goodies, flowers, etc.
Also, if you would like to get an automatic email each time I post a new card/craft idea, please sign up to the right (Follow by Email). If you know someone else who would like to follow as well, please forward this blog to them.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my new blog.
